The Elm Grove Junior Guild was founded in 1966 by a group of Elm Grove women who got together with the common goal of making a difference in their community while enriching the lives of their children. The Guild has remained strong for the past 43 years and continues to serve Elm Grove and the surrounding communities.
In the past, the Junior Guild has implemented and funded many fantastic programs that have become a part of the fabric of living in Elm Grove such as: An Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Parade, Fourth of July Games, Safety Village, The Children's Halloween Party, and Breakfast with Santa at the Women's Club. We support these valuable programs and events both financially and with hundred of volunteer hours.
In addition to these programs, the Elm Grove Junior Guild has granted funds to the Village to support the following: new playground equipment and brick sidewalks at the village park; welcome signs and banners that grace village streets; life saving equipment for the police and fire departments; books and other supplies for the public library; materials needed to remodel the community room; concerts in the park; and construction of the gazebo.
In years past, additional funds have also been granted to needy organizations outside the Elm Grove community including Teen Challenge of Milwaukee, HOPE Network for Single Mothers, St. Catherine's Residence, Guest House, Elena's House, and the Women's Center.
Members of the Junior Guild look forward to a bright future continuing to meet the needs of the community while enriching the lives of area families.
